House Care provides in-home pet sitting throughout Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Ancaster, Waterdown, Milton, and select surrounding areas.Service availability may vary depending on sitter availability, travel requirements, and the type of care requested.If you are located outside our regular service area, please contact us to determine whether care may be available in your location.

Are Meet & Greets required?

Yes.All first-time clients are required to complete a complimentary Meet & Greet prior to booking services.Meet & Greets help ensure:the appropriate fit for both pets and sitterssafe handling proceduresroutine familiarityhousehold understandingcomfort for everyone involvedMeet & Greets are approximately 45 minutes in length and typically include:a brief walk when appropriatea home walkthroughreview of routines and care needsdiscussion surrounding expectations and communicationThe Meet & Greet also provides an opportunity for both the client and sitter to determine whether the in-home pet care arrangement is the appropriate fit.

Why are home checks completed during Meet & Greets?

Home checks are completed during all in-person Meet & Greets for health, safety, and service compatibility purposes.During this process, we assess:household layoutpet safety considerationshome accesssleeping arrangementsbehavioural and environmental factorsoverall compatibility for servicesPup & Co. House Care reserves the right to decline services following a Meet & Greet if we believe we are not the appropriate fit for the household or pet care needs.Clients will be notified following the Meet & Greet should services not move forward.

Question 5

What documentation is required before pet sitting services begin?

All required client documentation must be completed and returned prior to the start of services, including:Client Service Agreement/ContractMeet & Greet/Pet Care Information FormCurrent vaccination recordsAny additional medical, behavioural, emergency, or household information requested for the bookingServices cannot proceed if required documentation or vaccination records have not been received prior to service.Clients are responsible for ensuring the information provided remains accurate and for notifying Pup & Co. House Care of any changes to their pet’s health, behaviour, medication, routine, household, or emergency information.

Are vaccine records required?

Yes.Dogs receiving services are required to have active and current:Rabies vaccinationDAPP vaccinationVaccination records must be provided prior to services beginning and must remain current for the duration of scheduled services.Any medical exception must be discussed with Pup & Co. House Care in advance and may require supporting veterinary documentation.This policy helps protect pets, sitters, other households, and veterinary professionals and ensures important health information is available should an emergency occur.

Can pet sitting services be extended while I’m away?

Whenever possible, we will do our best to accommodate schedule extensions, travel delays, or additional care requests.Extensions are subject to sitter availability and existing bookings and cannot be guaranteed.We strongly encourage clients to communicate any travel changes as early as possible.Emergency contacts should also remain reasonably available and willing to assist should unexpected delays or emergencies occur during services.Additional fees may apply to extended services.
